Out of Focus

Sometimes I get so caught up in things
like organized closets and clean refridgerators and bills
That I loose sight of myself
And I am so caught up on doing and list checking
that the doing and list checking doesn't get done.
And
My heart
Gets blurred and wierd
and when that happens
it is hard to live,
really live,
from it.

did you intentionally desaturate this photo, or is it how it was taken? interesting...i love how photos can speak like this.

kel,
i did desaturate the picture on purpose. i really like the way that the shoes in the background are clearer than i am. it kind of commnicates how my focus is a little distorted right now. not focused on the important things. but rather getting caught up in odd, unimportant details.
thanks for noticing! :)

I don't generally leave out-of-the-blue comments to stranger, but what you said at Nitty-Gritty was well put and a kind reminder.
Thank you.
If you dig around my archives, you'll see my writing sometimes falls "verse" as this nice post of yours did last week.

Yes. Thanks. And I so love your recent posted scrap pages and thoughts and insights and even the 'blurriness' going on. Also, aren't those 'skinny stripes' on the canvas from KI Memories???!!! Love that wall! Thanks for sharing.

jody,
you're welcome!
and thanks for all of the kind comments . . .
i am not sure which "skinny stripes" you mean. on the "You Belong" canvas? there aren't any scrapbook products on that canvas . . .
OH! unless you are teasing me and commenting on the work of art that herb and i posed in front of at the art museum! got it. funny. yes, i think KI Memories ripped off that artist! :) it is quite a site to behold. SO big and colorful!
